In the world of user-generated content, each one of us is capable of becoming an overnight sensation. As we observe, discuss, and analyze Web 2.0, we will start to unravel what it means to live in Web 2.0. But mostly—as this is above all a writing course—from the first day of class, we will compose an exploration of the many forms and types of media that make up our daily experiences. In doing so, we will compose a living record of the what it means to create and compose in Web 2.0.

Homework
This is a good example of user generated media. The creator of this video, Sarcasticgamer, was able to turn a normal advertisement video into a funny parody by replacing the original voiceover with his own. This video got over 3 million views because of the creative sarcastic remarks displayed throughout and if traditional media were to produce this then it wouldn't be the same. I would think it wouldn't be as funny, or hit the marks like this video had done.

Lol! I found this video HILARIOUS!! Especially because I love sarcasm and it made me crack up. This was a good user generated video because I'm sure it made a lot of other people.
ReplyDeleteThis video is hilarious!!!....
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny. Really has me thinking though, is the narrator wrong? I don't see how this product can be useful or convenient at all.
