Values, user-generated content and you!
Today in class I decided to write about my i-pod and the value it has in my life. I chose this item because I use it often and I find comfort when I use it. It has a connection to the assignment "A Day in the life of my Internet Usage" because I mostly use the internet on a daily basis to look for whats new in music and watch music videos that I like. The internet has managed to allow me to discover new types of music and find new up and coming artist.
Both ideas are related to the reading and video we had for homework because they both speak about the importance that internet has on people nowadays. Based on my internet usage I might use it more for music as where another person might use it for other things. Either way its considered an every day part of my life and should be for everyone else around the world according to the U.N.. The youtube video shows how much the internet has impacted our lives and the value of loosing it can mean a great deal. If it were to be taken away it would affect how people live their every day life after being so used to it. It has the power to connect people and without it can change how people interact with each other.

  1. We all interact with each other on the internet. We can state what we think in comments on different websites and the person won't know who we are. Like, How I'm commenting on this post but the only thing you know about me is that I'm in your English class, but you don't know how I look like or my personal life. I can be myself while commenting on someone's work, video, blog, or website. Then, eventually someone might reply back agreeing/disagreeing or arguing. The internet has become a form of communication of this generation. It does change how people interact with each other.
